Men's Lacrosse Rally Comes Up Short

Cazenovia, N.Y. - The Cazenovia College men's lacrosse team overcame an 8-1 defecit early in the second quarter to challenge the visiting Hilbert Hawks. The Wildcats came as close as 12-11, but Hilbert scored four unanswered goals in the last 2:30 minutes of the game to collect the victory.

The loss leaves Cazenovia at 3-6 on the season (1-3 in NEAC play), while Hilbert improves to 6-3 (3-1 NEAC).

Vincent Halsey (Oneida, N.Y.), Joe Delia (Baldwinsville, N.Y.), Kyle Kingsley (Potsdam, N.Y.), and Wes Lawrence (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) all notched two goals in the Wildcats balanced attack.

Cory Tilton (Central Square, N.Y.) also dished out two assists to go with a goal, while keeper Pat Boyle (Syracuse, N.Y.) recorded 16 saves.

Cazenovia is back in action Saturday at 3:00pm when they host NEAC foe Cobleskill.
