Women's Lacrosse Wins Second Straight

Buffalo, N.Y. - The Cazenovia College women's lacrosse team routed Hilbert in a 14-5 victory Saturday afternoon.  Alicia Priest (Camillus, N.Y.) made seven of her 12 shots, providing 50 percent of Cazenovia's offensive production over Hilbert (1-3) in a game played at the Nichols School in North Buffalo.

After spotting Cazenovia College a four-goal lead to open the game, Hilbert College stormed back to cut the score to 4-3 with 17:25 remaining in the first half. For the rest of the first half, Cazenovia and Hilbert played a 2 for 1 ratio.

Priest padded Cazenovia's lead with three more second half tallies and the Wildcats held Hilbert scoreless in the second half for the final 14-5 score.

Cazenovia held advantages in shots (10), ground ball (4) and scored on three of their five free-position shots. The Hawks were victorious in 11 of the 21 draw controls but were zero for three in free-position shots.

Cazenovia is back in action this upcoming Saturday when they travel to Penn State Abington for a 1:00 pm start.
