Wildcats Drop First NEAC Contest of the Season

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Host Morrisville State College women's lacrosse used a strong offensive second half to down nearby rival Cazenovia College, 18-9, in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action Saturday afternoon in Morrisville.

The win lifts the Mustangs to 4-5 overall, remaining untouched in conference play with a 3-0 record. Cazenovia drops to 5-4, suffering their first NEAC defeat to fall to a 2-1 conference record.

Cazenovia's Jessica Cramer (Johnson City, N.Y.) tallied a team best three scores and assisted another to lead the Wildcats, while six additional teammates recorded one a
piece, including Kim Vrigian (Clifton Park, N.Y.) who added three assists on the day.

Christina Marra (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) had seven saves in the loss in net for the Wildcats.

The Wildcats return to the field Wednesday, traveling to Medaille for a 4 p.m. contest.
